  • Would like to increase your capacity for joy, gratitude, contentment, stillness and creativity
  • Find your inner critic running the show?
  • Would like strategies for getting back up after a fall or setback in a personal and/or professional relationship
  • Want to cultivate the courage to go the extra mile
  • Are tired of hustling for acceptance from others
  • Want to demonstrate compassion and empathy to deepen your connection to others
  • Desire to embrace your imperfections and find the power in doing so
  • Are ready to embrace the power of your own life story

This experiential weekend workshop based on Brené Brown’s research will give you the tools and strategies you need to embrace vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness.

In this group you can expect to:

  • Understand that we all create stories to make sense of our lives
  • Get curious about the emotions of our stories of struggle
  • Explore ways we and others offload hurt and how it impacts relationships and choices
  • Notice the ways our bodies respond when difficult emotions “hook” us
  • Share daily practices for managing stress and improving emotional well-being
  • Identify key learnings about who we are and how we engage with others
  • Write a daring new ending to our stories of struggle and share them with each other as we sit around the campfire and reflect on our growth
  • Leave our time together ready to show up and be fully present in our lives

As Brené Brown shares in her book, Rising Strong: “When we are brave enough often enough, we will fall. The Rising Strong™ process is about what it takes to get back up.  Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life. The Rising Strong™ process can transform how you tell your stories of struggle, most importantly, the stories you tell yourself.”

Whether your “story” involves perfectionism, a health condition, difficult relationships, or a specific challenge that has been holding you back, this group may be for you. Engage in the “reckoning, rumble, and revolution™” of the Rising Strong™ process for overcoming failures, mistakes and downfalls. Learn how getting curious about your story and rumble with the emotions that keep your story in place, so that you can write a daring new ending.

Workshop Outline:

  • Friday Act I: The Reckoning – We Walk Into Our Story. We get curious about our emotions and feelings and how they connect with the way we think and behave
  • Saturday Morning Act II: The Rumble – Owning Our Story. We get honest about the stories we are making up about our struggle, then challenge the confabulations, and assumptions to determine what’s the truth, what’s self-protection, and what needs to change if we want to lead more wholehearted lives
  • Saturday Afternoon Act III: The Revolution – Process Becomes Practice. We write a new ending to our story based on our key learnings and use this new, braver story to change how we engage with the world and to ultimately transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead

Rising Strong™ is based on the simple physics of vulnerability: If we are brave enough, often enough, we will fall. This is a program about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life.

By participating in this Rising Strong™ Workshop, you will have the opportunity to explore how to live bravely every day by showing up in the arenas of your life and relationships to become the best, most authentic version of you. The method is designed for work with individuals, couples, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, corporate and professional settings.
