You, the faith-based practitioner who has always felt passionate about helping others. We share that passion and want to empower you as a clinician to provide the highest possible care to clients through your unique voice and skill set. We are in search of licensed clinicians to become a part of our mental health care team. Beauty for Ashes Counseling has an exciting opportunity for you to join our private practice.

Who we are

Beauty for Ashes Counseling was established in 2014 and has been a thriving faith-based private practice for the past 7 years. We provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients of all ages and faiths. The guiding principles of our practice for both our clients and clinicians alike can be described in three words: Faith, Hope, & Healing. Our core values are to support your exploration of clinical skills and opportunities as a therapist, understand yourself as a clinician, and grow as a therapist in ways that are meaningful to you. Our mission is to wholeheartedly guide our clients through life’s ashes, enabling them to build beautiful, creative, faith and hope filled healing.

Each therapist at BFAC has their own unique approach to counseling, however, we share a common goal of providing quality, effective, empathic faith-based treatment to the whole person. Psychological treatment at BFAC is grounded in evidence-based interventions and theories and are delivered in an ethical manner, always with respect for the client.

Where we are located

We have office locations in both Taylors and Sumter South Carolina. Our offices are conveniently located close to public transportation making it easy for clients to access from either home, work or school. Our virtual offices in North Carolina and Alaska offer telehealth services to reach those who are vulnerable to the virus or who may be in remote locations.

Administrative duties provided to you include billing, accounting, and filing so you can focus on caring for your clients. We also offer developmental outreach opportunities to share psychologically healthy programming to the community. STAFF POSITIONS AVAILABLE:


Office Manager

The Office Manager will function in a leadership position that will manage the overall operations of the office as well as assist in developing and implementing the vision and strategy for future growth. The Office Manager will also provide expertise to ensure all clients receive high-quality, efficient care.

The Office Manager will be an employee of Beauty for Ashes Counseling.

Key qualifications include:

  • Skills Required:

    • Excellent supervisory, interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills

    • Attention to detail

    • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve quickly and efficiently

    • Team player

    • Ability to represent oneself and BFAC in a professional manner

    • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and corresponding programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and web-based applications.

    Job Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Some college/degree preferred.

    • 2 years office management experience in a behavioral health clinic or other healthcare clinic

    • 2 years insurance billing & accounts receivable

    • Experience in direct oversight and management of providers and staff

    • Experience promoting a culture of customer service and teamwork

    • Ability to use computers and office software, business office machines, tools, equipment as necessary to perform job duties.

    • Excellent work ethic and dependability

    • Always maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding HIPPA standards

    • Experience using an EHR system


CLINICAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE:


Clinical Social Worker/Professional Counselor

In collaboration with Beauty for Ashes Counseling, the Psychotherapist will provide individual, couples, and family counseling to a diverse client population. The Psychotherapist will be an employee of Beauty for Ashes Counseling.

Key qualifications include:

  • Education Requirements: Master’s degree or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

  • License Requirements: South Carolina, North Carolina (remote), or Alaska (remote) Licensed LCSW, LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist

  • Professional Requirements: Malpractice Insurance – $1,000,000/$3,000,000


Art Therapist

In collaboration with Beauty for Ashes Counseling, the Art Therapist will provide individual, couples, and family counseling to a diverse client population. The Art Therapist will be an employee of Beauty for Ashes Counseling.

Key qualifications include:

  • Education Requirements: Master’s degree or Doctorate degree in Art Therapy, or related field.

  • License Requirements:

    • Must hold one of the following: Art Therapist Registered Provisional (ATR-P), Art Therapist Registered (ATR), Art Therapist Registered and Board Certified (ATR-BC), Art Therapist Registered and Board Certified Supervisor (ATR-BCS).

    • South Carolina, North Carolina (remote), or Alaska (remote) Licensed LCSW, LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT.

  • Professional Requirements: Malpractice Insurance – $1,000,000/$3,000,000


Play Therapist

In collaboration with Beauty for Ashes Counseling, the Play Therapist will provide individual, couples, and family counseling to a diverse client population. The Play Therapist will be an employee of Beauty for Ashes Counseling.

Key qualifications include:

  • Education Requirements: Master’s degree or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

  • License Requirements:

    • Must hold one of the following: Registered Play Therapist (RPT), Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S)

    • License Requirements: South Carolina, North Carolina (remote), or Alaska (remote) Licensed LCSW, LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT,

  • Professional Requirements: Malpractice Insurance – $1,000,000/$3,000,000


Massage/Body Work Therapist

In collaboration with Beauty for Ashes Counseling, the Play Therapist will provide trauma-informed massage and body work to a diverse client population. The Massage Therapist will be an independent contractor with Beauty for Ashes Counseling.

Key qualifications include:

  • Education Requirements: Board certified training.

  • License Requirements:

    • Must hold and maintain the South Carolina Licensed Massage and Body Therapist (LMBT) credential.

  • Professional Requirements: Malpractice Insurance.


Successful candidates for all clinical positions will have:

  • Extensive experience and training providing individual, couples, and family therapy.

  • Firm foundation and knowledge in theory of choice.

  • Firm foundation and knowledge in trauma-focused evidence-based practice.

  • Ability to complete required paperwork for billing in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Ability to complete and maintain all clinical records.

  • Ability to represent Beauty for Ashes Counseling in a consistently ethical and professional manner.
