Child-Centered Play Therapy - part One
Based on the research of Cheryl Lynn Childers, this workshop will discuss how to best set your practice up to focus on child-centered play therapy. Guidelines for best practices and documentation will also be discussed. You will leave this workshop equipped and energized to prepare your practice to for child-centered play therapy. - Spaces are limited

Teams of three compete with one another to complete a common building challenge using LEGO® bricks. Each member of the team must work together contributing, communicating, and listening to each other. This helps them to develop communication skills, problem solving skills, in addition to sharing both the toy bricks and the responsibility of completing the project.
Through communication this type of therapy serves to develop vocabulary, and understanding of how to effectively communicate.
